Director Wong Kar Wai and photographer Christopher Doyle used to be the dynamic duo of Asian cinema before parting ways after shooting 2046 in 2004. The pair is probably best known for the elegant In the Mood For Love, but I’ve personally never fallen out of love with their first collaboration Days of Being Wild from 1991. Before ending their partnership Wong directed and Doyle shot this music video in 2002 for DJ Shadow’s Six Days, beautiful and melancholy which was basically their trademark. It’s that old story you already know, of woman and man getting along, then not getting along and then using martial arts to solve things:
