Holi – The Festival of Colours

Holi is a colourful spring festival and also a celebration of the triumph of good over evil celebrated by Hindus at the end of the winter season. Bonfires are lite and participants throw coloured powders and coloured water at each other. The powders represents medicinal powders traditionally used to prevent illness during the changing seasons.
